With over 25 years of experience in construction and development, Krueger has direct experience overseeing teams to produce memorable residential and commercial projects. With over a dozen developments, he conceptualized and received approvals and oversaw construction from Lake Norman to Banner Elk.

Most notable of his projects have been the Ivey's hotels in Charlotte and the Windsor Hotel in Asheville. Both hotels were #1 ranked and 5-star rated in their markets on TripAdvisor.com. His projects have been nationally recognized for design while meeting financial projections on construction.

KELLY BARNHARDT
IRON HORSE DEVELOPMENT

Kelly is the creative vision behind the interiors of each restored property.  Raised in Salisbury, NC as well, Kelly grew up around construction and renovation and gives credit to her father, who taught her valuable craftsman skills, which she applies to each renovation project.  Kelly is a pediatric nurse by profession with degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill and Cabarrus College of Health Sciences.  Her background is in pediatric oncology and school nursing having worked with young patients and their families at both Duke University Hospital, Medical University of SC and a charter school in Charlotte.  However, outside of her nursing career, Kelly has a strong passion for interior design.  An amateur designer, she finds joy in exploring creativity and bringing life into neglected historic spaces.

Together with her husband Josh, who develops the historic properties, they enjoy blending restoration with modern aesthetics while remaining true to the history of each building.  Living in historic neighborhoods in Charleston and Charlotte sparked her interest in historic renovation even more.  In Josh and Kelly’s nearly 20 years of marriage, they have renovated multiple personal homes and have also assisted with family renovation projects, both locally and along the NC coast.  Now, she enjoys putting her own touch into these historic spaces, honoring the past while bringing modern elegance to the present.

Kelly and her husband, Josh, live in a historic neighborhood of Charlotte and have 2 children, Emory and Jensen and a doodle fur baby, Oskar Blue.
